Kid Friendly Recipes: Baked Chicken Fingers

Cooking can be a full time job. But it doesn’t have to be. You work from home and you have kids. You’re busy enough. You need some simple recipes that are easy to make, that the kids will love, and that are still healthy. Baked Chicken Fingers covers all three.

Here’s what you’ll need.

Ingredients:

3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts

1 cup bread crumbs

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 tablespoon dried basil

½ cup butter

Here’s what you need to do.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Grease a cookie sheet.

Cut chicken breast into small pieces (about an inch to an inch and a half).

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.

Melt the butter and place in a separate bowl.

Dip the chicken pieces in the butter, then dredge in the bread crumb mixture. Make sure to evenly coat the pieces of chicken.

Place the coated chicken pieces on the cookie sheet and put in the oven to bake for 20 minutes.

It’s that easy. The ingredients are all prepared for you. you can even get pre-grated parmesan. It’s just a matter of mixing them together and popping them in the oven. And while you’re waiting for the chicken fingers to cook, you can set the table and get that ketchup ready.
